This was another personal concept design that I chose to look at, because I felt that the homepage and especially product pages needed refining.
Instead of switching up the layout completely, I knew that they’d spent a wealth of time and effort into conducting extensive user research, informing them of UX decisions. So I decided to keep the structure and layout relatively the same, with some visual changes to improve hierarchy.
The product page’s information needed elevating more, as it blended into the page far too easily and while scanning down the page, a user might miss important details in a sea of copy.
I also created a new feature called Airbnb VIP, which in the future actually turned out to become Airbnb Plus, so they must of been looking into that feature already.
