Ford’s ‘Make It Driveable’ event aimed at bringing together startups to explore ideas and innovative technology to be integrated into their future cars, via Apps.
I helped lead the creative direction with this project, working closely with designers and developers to conceptualise and produce something different. The website was designed primarily with developers and tech specialists in mind, hinting to familiar coding elements with relevance in that particular environment. We had a very tight deadline to stick to, coinciding with the launch of their first tour location for this event.
We took Ford’s ‘Make It Driveable’ branding and added our own touch. The Blue and Teal palette gives the event’s identity a modern and fresh look, but also decided to not play it safe by choosing Pink as a highlighting colour, which adds a sense of action and urgency. We fed back at this stage and Ford were very happy with the direction we took here.
The event logo was also refined to make sure that there was brand consistency across their 9-stop tour. In addition to that, we also designed a set of illustrations to visually enhance each competition category the developers and teams would be entering.
